Alarm classes have been available since version Lynx 14.6.1.

Alarm classes are used to logically bundle alarms in QuickHMI and treat them uniformly.

Instead of defining properties such as alarm type, acknowledgment , and color separately for each alarm, these rules are defined centrally in an alarm class.

Each alarm then refers to an alarm class and automatically adopts its behavior and visualization.

There are six standards:

• Acknowledgeable Message / Warning / Error
• NonAcknowledgeable Message / Warning / Error

Additional user-specific alarm classes can also be created.

Alarm classes Properties

Name
This is the name of the alarm class as it is displayed in the UI and offered for selection.

Alarm type
Describes the basic category of the alarm message.

Acknowledgment
Specifies whether an alarm must be acknowledged by the user.

Color
Defines the visual representation of the alarm in the UI (alarm overview and, if applicable, in the AlarmTable).

S7 Alarm Classes ID
For S7 alarms, QuickHMI checks the alarm class ID reported by the S7.
If it matches this value, this alarm class is used (type/color/acknowledgment).
