The faceplate inspector opens automatically as soon as a faceplate is selected. In addition to the basic data of the faceplate (name and description), the properties, events and placeholders of the faceplate can also be defined here.

There are 3 buttons in the upper area:
Show
This button loads the graphic model of the faceplate.
Save
Saves the current changes to the faceplate in the same version. All placed faceplates that use this version are automatically updated.
Save (New version)
Saves the current changes to the faceplate as a new version. The current version remains unchanged.

Clicking on the button opens a new dialog. The new version number must be entered here first in the format X.X[.X.X].
The option Crop (Crop) option determines whether the graphic model is cropped when it is saved. Empty areas to the right and bottom of the control elements are removed. Empty areas on the left and top remain.
With the option Update all instances (Update all instances) option updates all placed instances of this faceplate to this new version. To update only individual placed instances, the FaceplateRevision property of the individual placed faceplates must be used.
In the right-hand area, in the Properties, Events and Placeholders tabs, the properties and events are defined that the faceplate publishes to the outside world when it is placed on a page. This is explained further in the respective help articles.
